ITALY 2006
Italy 2006, why? Well why not, Italy has something for everyone. Another one of worlds wonders. This trip was very impulsive, we only purchased the tickets two weeks before we left, but that was no problem for my exploring family. We arrived in Rome with only backpacks and a book about Italy. We had decided to do sort of a "backpacking" trip through Italy, and therefore we had a big 10-person tent with us.
As said earlier, Rome was the first stop. While we were there we went to see the "Spanish Steps", "Trevi Fountain", "Colluseum", "The Vatican state and Museum" amoung other churches ect.. An incredible city that NEVER will cease to amaze me. after Rome we took the train to Civitavecchia where we went to the beach then took a ferry over to Sardinia, which turned out to be heaven on earth, Seriously! White beaches, turquoise sea and sun! Me loves! After a few days checking out the island we headed north on the main land. We visited cities like Livorno, Florence, Pisa, Colle Val De Elsa, Siena and Greve +++ I just don't have the patience to name every city we stopped by.
The last day was spent in Pisa, also AGAIN, an amazing city! This summer vaction turned out to be one of my best, and I will have enough memories to last a lifetime!
